" ~ William Ross This week I found out that Jimmy Buffett is performing in Raleigh on April 19th.
The importance of this news to me is that seeing Buffett in concert is on my wife's bucket list.
The news of the King of Parrot Heads coming to town made me start thinking about bucket lists.
These lists are about planning key highlights in your life.
It's a lot different than setting daily or weekly goals.
Emotion is much more pronounced in this list.
There are no limits.
Our daily goals have limits but travelling the world and writing several books are in a different place than picking up the kids at 4:30 and returning that phone call to a friend.
Two other keys to a great bucket list are to make it yours and never ending.
- A bucket list that satisfies your spouse or your kids but not you is unacceptable.
Yourlist must contain the things that mean most to you and create energy in living your best life.
- Just as you finish the activities, add new ones as they come along.
There is absolutely no reason why your list should ever be empty.
Don't hold back, go all out.
The day after you write your list, start creating action to fulfill that list.
Why not? It's only your dreams and aspirations.
What's on your bucket list? I'd love to read your comments and inspiration.
I need to go order tickets to see Buffet.
See you in Margaritaville!
