Talented Birds Entertain the Crowd

Personal: Born and raised on the Jersey shore, Towers lives in Troy, Michigan.

Radio: Jay Towers has been on the radio for more than 2 decades – starting at the age of 14 working on the New Jersey shore at WJRZ, and WAYV/WBSS in Atlantic City.

Prior to his move to Detroit in 1999, Towers was also on-air at WMAXGrand Rapids and WIOQ/Philadelphia.

Towers worked at WXYT/Detroit doing the morning show before leaving in January 2010 over a contract dispute.

Towers along with Renee Vitale are the morning show team on WNIC-FM/Detroit. He is also Program Director of WDTW-FM/Detroit (106.7 The Beat) and hosts a daily afternoon radio show for Clear Channel’s MY106.1 in Philadelphia.

In addition to his on-air and programming roles in the Detroit market, Towers is a National Talent and Programming Consultant for Clear Channel Radio.

Television: He also anchors a local television program "Fox 2 News Weekend" in Detroit.

Community: Towers is a tireless supporter of local charities – among them the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, COTS (Coalition on Temporary Shelter), the Michigan Humane Society, Angels of Hope, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Ilitch Charities, and The Detroit Red Wings Foundation.

A great Red Wings fan, Towers was the official warm-up host during the 2009-2010 playoffs pre-game shows.
