Indoor Water Parks in the Mid-Atlantic

    • Water fun in the Mid-Atlantic states is not limited to summer months. Indoor water parks, often attached to hotels, allow kids and adults to boogie board, take a white water rafting tube ride or frolic in a wading pool.

    H20ooohh Indoor Family Waterpark at Split Rock Resort & Golf Club

    • The H20ooohh Indoor Family Waterpark, two hours north of Philadelphia, is adjacent to the Galleria Building at the Split Rock Resort & Golf Club in Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania. Try surfing or boogie boarding on Komodo Dragon flow rider pool, or drop four stories on the Amazon Blast Slides. You can also relax in the Hurricane Cove wave pool or in one of the hot tubs. Jungle Falls, a three-story tree house outfitted with geysers that squirt water and buckets that drop gallons at a time is best for kids age 6 and up. Toddlers can relax in the Toddler Play Area.

      The H20ooohh Indoor Family Waterpark is open to the public and water park admission is based on availability. Outside food and drink are not permitted. Beverages and snacks are available at the water park's food court. Pizza, salads and sandwiches are available nearby at the Galleria Pizzeria. Bring your own towels-- the water park doesn't supply free towels, but does sell them in the gift shop. The water park is open year-round, but hours of operation do vary.

    White Water Bay Indoor Waterpark at Six Flags Great Escape Lodge

    • The White Water Bay Indoor Waterpark, an hour north of Albany and near the attractions of Lake George, is located at the Six Flags Great Escape Lodge in Queensbury, New York. This 38,000-square-foot water park has Boogie Bear Surf--a wave and body boarding pool, and Glacier Run--a tube-shaped water slide. Guests using Boogie Bear Surf and Glacier Run must be at least 42 inches tall.
      Groups of four can enjoy a simulated white-water raft ride as long as they are at least 36 inches tall. Younger kids, from age 2 to 6, can explore the shallow pool of Tip-A-Kanu Beach. Folks 18 and over can soak in the Soakum Springs, a warm water spa.

      White Water Bay is open to the public on a first-come-first-serve basis. Lodge guests are guaranteed access to the water park. Outside food and drink is not permitted. Snacks and drinks can be purchased at the onsite Birch Bark Grill. The water park is open year-round, but hours of operation do vary.

    CoCo Key Water Resort at Mt. Laurel Marriott

    • The CoCo Key Water Resort, 30 minutes south of Trenton, is connected at the ground level to the Marriott in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. CoCo Key, a 55,000-square-foot water park features the Dip-In Theater--a wading pool complete with a movie screen for special movie screenings for toddlers and Parrot's Perch--where younger kids at least 40 inches tall can ride smaller slides and play with water cannons. Teenagers and adults, 48 inches and taller, can take the Pelican Plunge or Shark Slam water slides.

      CoCo Key is open to the public on a first-come-first-serve basis. Marriott guests are guaranteed access to the water park. Guests are required to bring their own towels. Outside food and drink are not permitted. Onsite food and beverage options include the A&W Snack Shop, Wet Rooster Bar and Pizza Hut Express. The water park is open year-round, but hours of operation do vary.
